Lexington Event Company is an event management, planning, and consulting firm - located in Kentucky, serving clients across the U.S.
Event types include conferences, tradeshows, festivals, fundraisers, sales kickoffs, annual meetings, experiential events, educational summits, and more. Scale ranges from 100-20,000+ attendees with scope including A/V planning, travel & accommodations, event communications & marketing, food & beverage, décor & aesthetic, entertainment, logistics management, photo/video, and more.
We are hiring for an Assistant Event Coordinator for a 6-month period - this is a contract/remote role.
Responsibilities
Pre-event planning support - including, but not limited to; contract negotiation, external client/attendee communications, registration/ticketing, travel planning, planning timelines food & beverage planning, vendor selection, logistics planning, project management, budget creation & tracking, and other pre-event planning needs.
Communications - internal communications with the team and the client, contractor is expected to meet with the team (Virtually) as needed.
On-site Support - including, but not limited to; vendor load in/set up/strike, real time logistics support, registration & guest services, travel management, attendee communications, and other tasks, as needed.
Qualifications
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage time and tasks independently
Ability to work well as an individual and as a team
3 years of experience working for/on live events
Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with the team and the client(s)
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds
Contractor must have a stable internet connection, cellphone, and computer
Bonus, but not required:
Knowledge of and experience with; social media platforms, content creation, marketing planning, graphic design
Knowledge of and experience with; project management tools, virtual meeting platforms, and event management software
Experience with Google Workspace applications, Word, Excel
Position Includes
$25-$45/hour - final pay is commensurate with experience
6 month contract, May-October
Estimated 30-40 hours per week
Paid bi-monthly
Contract position, working remotely
10%~ required travel, to help with events on-site (estimated)
Company operates on Eastern time zone, general office hours are M-F/9-5p ET
